BGY Airport Granfondo returns to the Lazzaretto Stadium in Bergamo, with ample space for companies and brands

On Saturday, May 9, the eve of the event, all preliminary activities and side events, including race pack collection, will once again take place at the Lazzaretto Stadium in Bergamo. Discover how to become an exhibitor.

 

The BGY Airport Granfondo, scheduled for Sunday, May 10, 2026 in Bergamo and held under the aegis of the Italian Cycling Federation, goes back to its roots: from this year, the event headquarters will once again be located inside the Lazzaretto, one of the city’s most iconic venues, just a short distance from the Stadium, which will also host the Italian national football team’s World Cup playoff this evening.

On Saturday, May 9, the historic complex will host race number and race pack distribution, the Expo Village with event partners, as well as the press room and race office, which will remain operational on Sunday as well.

This choice follows the tradition of the event organized by G.M.S., bringing all activities back to the heart of the event and the city center of Bergamo, improving logistics and making the experience even more engaging for participants and spectators.

The Lazzaretto will once again open its doors to thousands of cyclists and enthusiasts arriving in Bergamo, becoming, as always, a lively and welcoming hub: the epicenter of the BGY Airport Granfondo in the hours leading up to the race, which will wind through the main roads and valleys of the Bergamo province.

The area will be open to the public and participants on Saturday, May 9 from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, featuring entertainment and refreshment areas. On Sunday, May 10, starting from 6:00 AM, the Lazzaretto will reopen for all pre-race operations, ahead of the official start at 7:00 AM from Via Marzabotto, when a long and colorful peloton of cyclists from all over the world will kick off the BGY Airport Granfondo 2026.
