Bergamo is you.<\/strong> \u2013 highlights a renewed focus on riders, their experience, and their personal way of living cycling.<\/p>\n<p>Registrations opened on <strong>7 November<\/strong>, and all details can be found on the official website <strong>granfondobgy.it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Major 2026 Innovation: Introducing the Sprint Route<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alongside the three classic and beloved routes that have made the BGY Airport Granfondo a landmark for thousands of cyclists, the 2026 edition will introduce an exciting new feature: the <strong>Sprint Route<\/strong>. This addition offers a more accessible distance and allows participants to enjoy the event with greater freedom and flexibility.<\/p>\n<p>The idea aligns with trends seen in major amateur events, such as the <em>55 km \/ Sellaronda<\/em> course at the Maratona dles Dolomites \u2013 which has recorded between 1,000 and 1,800 finishers over the past decade \u2013 or the <em>Valle del Chianti<\/em> short route (46 km) at L\u2019Eroica, featuring 1,615 participants in the 2025 edition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Four Routes, One Shared Passion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2026, participants will be able to choose from <strong>four routes<\/strong>, deciding based on their training level and \u201cthe feeling of the day\u201d:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sprint (new): 63 km | 800 m elevation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Short: 91 km | 1,400 m elevation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Medium: 130 km | 2,100 m elevation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Long: 148 km | 2,800 m elevation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cycling as Discovery, Freedom, and Sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The BGY Airport Granfondo has long embraced cycling not only as a sport but also as a way to explore, live, and respect the territory, promoting a growing <strong>slow-ride philosophy<\/strong> and environmental awareness.<\/p>\n<p>True to the BGYOU spirit, <strong>all types of bicycles are welcome<\/strong>: road bikes, e-bikes, gravel bikes, vintage rides, city bikes, and more.
