Also in 2024 the collaboration between the BGY Airport Granfondo<\/strong> and the Fondazione Creberg<\/strong> is renewed, to promote art and culture.<\/p>\n

The prestigious amateur cycling event, which this year will take place on Sunday 5 May 2024<\/strong> under the aegis of the Italian Cycling Federation, also for this new edition aims to give space to aspects that, although far from sporting activity, are nevertheless an integral part of our society and the territory that hosts it.<\/p>\n

For one day, art and sport ride together<\/strong>, different but complementary aspects of the same history, our history.<\/p>\n

This is why the BGY Airport Granfondo and the Fondazione Creberg have been working together for several years to propose exhibitions and cultural activities, under the coordination of Angelo Piazzoli<\/strong>, President of the Fondazione Credito Bergamasco.<\/p>\n

After Marco Ceravolo, Valentina Persico, Giorgio Paris, Hemo, Steven Cavagna, Tiziano Finazzi, Zaccaria Cremaschi, Marinella Bettineschi, Trento Longaretti, Fabio Agliardi, Giovanni Bonaldi, Carlo Previtali and Emilio Belotti a new artist will exhibit his works during the 2024 edition of the event.<\/p>\n

The artist chosen this year is Giovanni Frangi<\/strong> with two paintings that can be admired in the spaces set up inside the secretariat and the ExpoVillage; they are two monumental paintings \u2013 from the Divina Wallpaper cycle \u2013 that are part of the Fondazione Creberg Collection and made available to the event for the admiration of the public.<\/p>\n

The Artist<\/strong><\/p>\n

Giovanni Frangi \u2013 an artist of international standing from Milan \u2013 graduated from the Brera Academy of Arts. He began his exhibition activity in 1983 with an exhibition at the Rotonda della Besana in Milan, entitled Young Italian Painters and Sculptors<\/em>, followed in the same year by his first solo show at the Bussola in Turin. This was followed over the years by numerous highly successful solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad, both in public and private spaces.<\/p>\n

The collaboration with the Fondazione Credito Bergamasco led to two exhibitions \u2013 highly successful, both for critics and the public \u2013 held at Palazzo Creberg: in 2010 Divina Wallpaper and in 2015 Lotteria Farnese, both curated by Simone Facchinetti and Angelo Piazzoli.<\/p>\n

In the Main Hall of Palazzo Creberg, in Bergamo, the monumental painting dedicated to the Sky, entitled ‘Domenica pomeriggio’ (2008, 451×246 cm), which the artist donated to the Fondazione Creberg at the end of the 2009 exhibition event, Giovanni Frangi MT2425, organised by the Fondazione Bernareggi and supported by the Fondazione Creberg, is on display.<\/p>\n
