
{"id":10480,"date":"2023-05-08T13:12:36","date_gmt":"2023-05-08T11:12:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.granfondobgy.it\/?p=10480"},"modified":"2023-05-10T13:48:32","modified_gmt":"2023-05-10T11:48:32","slug":"con-vittoria-lesperienza-bgy-airport-granfondo-inizia-gia-in-aeroporto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.granfondobgy.it\/en\/con-vittoria-lesperienza-bgy-airport-granfondo-inizia-gia-in-aeroporto\/","title":{"rendered":"With Vittoria, the BGY Airport Granfondo experience starts at the landing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Riders who will land at the Milan Bergamo airport to take part in the 2023 event (May 14<sup>th<\/sup>), will be able to benefit &#8211; free of charge &#8211; from the technical assistance and bike bag storage service provided by Servizio Corse Vittoria at the exclusive BGY Bike Office<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the new partnership between the <strong>BGY Airport Granfondo<\/strong> and the <strong>Milan Bergamo Airport<\/strong>, for the many participants coming from abroad and via plane, the experience of the <strong>Bergamo Granfondo<\/strong> of <strong>Sunday, May 14th,<\/strong> starts as soon as they land.<\/p>\n<p>With the support of <strong>Vittoria<\/strong> &#8211; leading company in the bicycle tyre sector, based in <strong>Brembate<\/strong> (Bergamo) &#8211; and its <strong>Servizio Corse<\/strong>, participants in the cycling event who reach Bergamo by flight will be able to use <strong>free technical assistance and bike-bag storage<\/strong> already at the <strong>BGY Bike Office<\/strong>, the exclusive bike room located inside the airport.<\/p>\n<p>Cycling enthusiasts will therefore have the unique opportunity to get on the saddle immediately to reach the heart of Bergamo and the <strong>Lazzaretto<\/strong>, where the headquarters of the Granfondo are based, counting on the assistance and expertise of Vittoria Servizio Corse. At the dedicated BGY Bike Office, it will be possible \u2013 free of charge &#8211; to reassemble the bike as a pro, and to leave the bike bag directly at the airport.<\/p>\n<p>The airport\u2019s Bike Room is a <strong>unique service<\/strong> of Milan Bergamo Airport, appointed not by chance at the end of 2021 the first <strong>Bike Friendly Airport in Europe<\/strong>. Few cycling destinations in the World &#8211; and not a single Granfondo &#8211; can boast an <strong>international hub just 5 km from the city centre<\/strong>, even more one that allows reaching the start of the event on the bike.<\/p>\n<p>This synergy has been further enhanced by another internationally renowned <strong>excellence<\/strong> from Bergamo such as Vittoria, which will be alongside the participants throughout the entire race weekend. During the Granfondo, the Servizio Corse will be on the routes with <strong>three vehicles<\/strong> and a <strong>permanent technical assistance point<\/strong>, while support at the BGY Bike Office at the airport will be available <strong>from Friday 12 to Tuesday 16 May from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m<\/strong>. &#8211; with the exception of Sunday 14, when the event is scheduled &#8211; and as well as <strong>booking<\/strong> it through an e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:serviziogomme@vittoria.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>serviziogomme@vittoria.com<\/strong><\/a> with personal information plus arrival and departure flight times.<\/p>\n<p>A top-level service that gives the BGY Airport Granfondo an even more international vocation, appealing to cyclists from all over the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>USEFUL INFO AND REGISTRATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Further information on the initiative can be found on the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.granfondobgy.it\/en\/bgy-bike-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> dedicate page<\/a>. Last-minute registrations are also still possible.<\/p>\n<p>Three routes are available (<strong>89.4, 128.8 and 162.1 km<\/strong>) that will cross through up to 37 towns and 6 Bergamo valleys, touching iconic points of Bergamo cycling such as <strong>Costa Valle Imagna<\/strong> or the <strong>Selvino climb<\/strong>, which will also be taken up by the <strong>Giro d&#8217;Italia<\/strong> in the 15th stage, 195 km from Seregno to Bergamo, scheduled on the Sunday following the Granfondo.<\/p>\n<p>Two <strong>participation fees<\/strong> are still available, respectively of <strong>45 and 90 euro<\/strong>.
