Not only the organisation and the routes have remained the same, but also the <strong>feeling for art and culture<\/strong>. Indeed, the <strong>international cycling event for amateurs<\/strong>, scheduled for <strong>Sunday, May 14th, 2023<\/strong>, restored the partnership with <strong>Fondazione Creberg<\/strong> to showcase some <strong>masterpieces of local artist<\/strong> <strong>Emilio Belotti<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Since <strong>2007<\/strong>, the two entities work closely to enhance the value and visibility of art \u201cMade in Bergamo\u201d, and many international talents saw their artworks showcased alongside the cycling event over the years.<\/p>\n<p>For 2023, the year of <strong>Bergamo Italian Capital of Culture<\/strong> (together with Brescia), the organisation and <strong>Angelo Piazzoli<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>President of the Creberg Foundation<\/strong> \u2013 chose the versatile Emilio Belotti.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Bergamo\u2019s province in 1964, Belotti graduated from the Brera Academy in Milan and became a well-known <strong>painter<\/strong>, <strong>drawing,<\/strong> and <strong>arts\u2019 history professor<\/strong>, as well as <strong>glass and mosaic\u2019s artist<\/strong>. Thanks to the cooperation with Fondazione Creberg, which arranged showcases and exhibitions, Belotti was able to bring his artworks to <strong>Austria, Germany, Switzerland <\/strong>and the<strong> USA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In its masterpieces, Belotti shows the passion for arts\u2019 history by reinterpreting artworks from the 16th-century Bergamo painter <strong>Giovan Battista Moroni<\/strong>, or from Venetian <strong>Lorenzo Lotto<\/strong>, considered a Renaissance artistic genius.<\/p>\n<p>According to Piazzoli, Belotti\u2019s art is \u201c<em>a wise mixture of intelligence, grace, respect and innovation.
